Middle EastThe Middle East Region continues to be dominated by the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Iraq. Building bridges between communities is not only the core message of peace-building and reconciliation, but also at the heart of poverty alleviation and political, social and economic progress. It is for this reason that much of WACC support is geared towards communication activities dealing with conflict resolution, reconciliation and peace-making with a focus on giving a voice to those marginalised groups most affected by the conflicts: women, young people and refugees.
