Arab media workshop

The Forum for Development, Culture & Dialogue (FDCD) held a three days workshop from June 28th to July 1st 2007, in Amman, Jordan to discuss “The Role of Media in Building a Culture of Peace.” Rev. Dr. Riad Jarjour the former General Secretary of the Middle East Council of Churches, now the President of the FDCD and President of WACC Middle East Region inaugurated the workshop. He called for the development of alternative media strategies that could contribute substantially to building a culture of peace. The workshop was attended by Young writers, journalists, editors and media entrepreneurs from Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Palestine, Syria and Jordan.
