WACC has Subscribers, Affiliates and Members

Subscribers can sign up for any of WACC's electronic newsletters. Subscription is free and instant, the volume of emails is low. Newsletter options can be changed anytime and unsubscription is easy. 

Affiliates can sign up for any of WACC's electronic newsletters. There is no fee for affiliation and requests are normally considered within a few days. Affiliates have no voting rights and receive no publications by post. Affiliates may be contacted by the Regional Association. 

Members have voting rights in WACC elections. Individuals may vote in regional meetings to determine policy and choose board members. Corporate members may vote at regional level and also vote at the annual board meetings. Members may hold office in the organisation at regional and global level. Members receive the quarterly journal Media Development and other institutional documents by post, Corporate Members receive two copies. Members pay an annual fee (see below).

Affiliation

Becoming a WACC Affiliate is the easiest way to start to engage with WACC and its network. Affiliation is free to anyone who wishes to affirm their support for the Christian Principles of Communication.

Membership

Membership is open to any individual or any corporate body that wishes to affirm support for the Christian Principles of Communication. Membership is mainly held by journalists; publishing, printing and distribution houses; boards, agencies and councils of Churches; video producers, film makers and television stations; educational institutions; secular communication organizations and development groups with communication departments. A membership application form is available for download. 

Regional Associations

Membership is linked to the Region where the member is based. WACC has eight Regional Associations: Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, North America and Pacific.

How much does Membership cost?

Applications will not be considered until the relevant fee has been paid. If your application is not approved, the fee paid will be returned to you. Fees cover one calendar year (January to December). An invoice is sent annually. Fees quoted are in USD.

Final decisions on applications are taken after the relevant Regional Association has made recommendations on applications.
