By Rebekah Chevalier, WACC North America Vice-Chair

WACC North America is hoping to venture into new technological territory this year by hosting a webinar. At its meeting March 25–26, 2009, in Boston, Massachusetts, the executive committee discussed the idea of hosting a webinar in the fall on the topic of its recently completed peace monitoring project.

WACC North America Chair, Keith Knight

The web-based format is attractive because it would allow people from across North America to participate without the time commitment and expense of travel. The webinar the executive is considering would highlight a project that involved monitoring how news media cover conflict. It would also be an opportunity to introduce a handbook on the project WACC North America is commissioning for use by faith communities.

Watch this website for more information on both the peace monitoring project and the webinar.
