Call for Nominations of Ecumenical Media Team Print E-mail
 The Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance (EAA) will again be coordinating an Ecumenical Media Team at the International AIDS Conference being held in July 2010 in Vienna.

The EAA seeks to assemble an energetic, diverse and creative team of professional ecumenical communicators for the Conference.

For this team, EAA is calling for nominations to fill the roles of:

 

  • Media Relations Officer: to relate to local journalists and media accredited to the Conference to pitch stories and arrange interviews
  • Photographer (digital)
  • Journalists: to write press releases and feature articles
  • Videographers: experienced at filming and editing on site
  • Experienced contributors to social networking sites (e.g. blogs, Facebook, Twitter): to manage a variety of outputs of the team
  • Web editor/Web manager: to manage the content of the media website.
The deadline for nominations is 22 February.

The International AIDS Conference (IAC), held every two years, draws around 20,000 leading actors in the response to HIV and AIDS – researchers, health care providers, activists, media, governmental and intergovernmental representatives, pharmaceutical companies and other corporations, and networks of people living with HIV and AIDS. The 2010 Conference is scheduled for 18-23 July 2010. A one-day multi-faith pre-conference will be held 17 July.
