Dear Kenyan Members of WACC Africa Region and friends,
I believe we all received the letter from our President Rev. Dave Wanless and also from the WACC Global office calling for our financial support for Radio Shalom a community radio for peace, trauma healing and reconciliation by the Church in Sierra Leone. You probably would want to support this project and are thinking: what difference can my little contribution make; or without a credit card how do I submit my little support; or I don’t even have a foreign account…these thoughts have also crossed by mind and so I wrote to the global office on the same, who then suggested that they could take a dollar check made out in the name of the project.
As a Kenyan alternate member of the Board of the Africa Region I am offering myself to assist and coordinate our effort to donate for this worthy peace project. If we could all send our contributions (no amount is too small) to my line, I will compile (for accountability) and share with you the total contributions received, I will then request the All Africa Conference of Churches to write a cheque in dollars for the amount for sending to the globalgiving office with all your names attached. Please remember by supporting this project we are supporting peace, upholding the role of community media and supporting WACC. Also remember only 17 days are now left to meet the $4000 target or the project will be taken off the globalgiving platform.
If you want to contribute please send me an email so that I can give you my mpesa line. You can share this mail with others who support our cause.
Thanks and blessings to you all.
