Communication for Ecumenism and Inter Religius Dialogue

Cuba

The Communication Department of the Council of Churches of Cuba strengthened its institutional communications structure as a vehicle for bringing together the churches and ecumenical movement in the country, with a particular emphasis on young people, women and people with disabilities. The project carried out six workshops to improve the communication skills of staff and correspondents, producing training materials and contributing to the radio programme ‘The Gospel in motion’ as well as broadcasting a special television programme at Christmas. The project was felt to be very successful, having helped restore a communications trajectory to the Council of Churches of Cuba and improved the communication potential of the churches as an ecumenical body.
